With more than 50 automated weather stations placed at strategic locations across Mumbai and connected through high speed dedicated leased lines, Mumbai citizens can get details of rainfall, temperature, humidity, wind speed and wind direction at their location with precise accuracy.
The application has been conceived by Municipal Corporation of Mumbai for citizens information and freely available.Our favorite features are:-- Rainfall data of each weather station refreshed every 15 minutes.-- Rainfall data in last 15 minutes, 1 hour, 12 hours and 24 hours.-- Temperature, wind speed, humidity and pressure data of every 15 minutes.-- Geo-location mapped with closest weather station-- Daily high tide and low tide data-- Traffic diversions if any, railway delays if any and Flight delays if any-- Alerts from IMD during monsoon-- SOS facility in case of emergency to contact your near ones.-- Getting address and details of the closest police station-- 20 animated films on how to manage emergency and disaster situation-- 1st responder requirements in case of emergency-- Push notifications for alerts to the citizensUse the Mumbai Monsoon application to plan your day during monsoon period.Minor improvements
